Statistically showing how silly I was

So yesterday, I learnt something important. If you want to host files to download, do it via a script. Otherwise there’s no way to keep track of download statistics. I thought I had it all figured out, putting an analytics javascript at the bottom of a single index page, and the download link on the page itself.

What happened was, the plesk’s site traffic showed this:

Awstats showed this:

And analytics showed this:

Of course, I was really confused, then I realised at that time, it was because a direct link was used to download the files, therefore no loading of any page, and no loading of any analytics page.
