micropayments & reverse billing

Currently I’m trying to research on sms billing, it’s called reverse billing / micro payment. I’m trying to find the fucking company that started the whole thing I don’t want to go through resellers and I can’t find the bloody main company.

More importantly is the cost, it would seem that the telco will take a cut + the service provider will take a cut. And for this kind of service it looks like the service provider will definately need to take a cut, because of their connections with the telco.

Implementation-wise should be damn easy. Possibly using any kind of web api to interface with it. Of course, this is only useful for small amounts of transactions, possibly less than 10$, I’ll need more information from people who have done it before.
